Why not write and pass on this simple mundane life?

Works Out

Who says you need to plan.

Friday night, mini-BBQ with a friend I know through work, his wife and their little one. Then down to the pub for a couple. Strange; I ran into one of my sister's down there. She was out on a Bachelorette party with her friends. Drunk emails afterwards.

Saturday, I spent time doing some chores and last layer of primer on the task which will be drug out until the end of time (at least without someone else to drive me; that's how long my personal projects take). I decided how I'm gonna vote on Measure 39.

Ended up unexpectedly going to a show at Berbati's Pan with my sister, her boyfriend, and one of her friends. The opener was a one man act, like Vanilla Ice doing a lyp-sync type video on YouTube but instead of rap...singing. The second band kinda made me think of Weezer and were good. The headliner was good, but seemed slower....by then I felt tired......I'm old. I liked the second band best. Then after the show had the world's largest fritter. Current hunger state....nill.....

Today its raining and puts a kaibosh on finishing up some yardwork and pruning the roses for the winter.....I'll putz around inside for awhile.....

I have 2 comments:

1) Voodoo donuts seems really cool. How long has it been around? Post 2003, I bet. Never heard of it. Sounds like a fantastic place to end up after drinking.

2) There are so many cranes working on the Bay Bridge -- why don't they just line up the cranes and build a road on top of them so the cars can drive over?

I wish I know. My sister and her boyfriend were surprised I hadn't heard of it (they have a maple bar with bacon on it...still not sold that it could taste good....hafta go back). Of course, I lack the motivation to head to town solo anyhow.

Bummed I didn't get that pic a week earlier when there were way more barges (and I think cranes). Oh well.
