Packing Twice

I'm staring at an 18x18x18 (inch) box in the Living Room.

This sums up what I have managed to collect here in a years time and what I think I "need" to have with me in Oregon. It'll cost too much money to ship it home, but home it must go.

Currently working on laundry so I have something to pack/wear in Sydney.

Looking at the weather forecast the weather sounds pleasant (but cold at the same time). I need to adjust to normal weather once again. Am curious how out of place I'll truely look, shivering on a mid50s F night in a light flannel and a rain jacket that boldy proclaims "Columbia Titanium".

Film; Check. Passport; Check. Place to stay; Check. Plane ticket; Check. Sydney Travelbook; Check. Ideas/Recommendations from people I know who have lived in Australia at one time or another; Check. Ticket to the Symphony this coming Friday; Check.

Amazed at the widely varied reactions you get from people when you tell them you are going on a trip not that well planned out and by yourself.
