Slowly I've reflected on a past half-decade.
(with a self-centric view)
Have I lived life?
I would like to think so with events as they've unfolded.
Have I treated others fairly?
I hope so, with what was dealt at the time.
Have I complained unfairly about things?
I'm sure I have, but wishfully only in heated emotion.
This past half decade has been odd at times, fun at times, hard at times, frustrating at times, but all in all has resulted in 5 years of change for better or worse.
What's your past half-decade been like?
(throughing one more thing out there and to join what are doubtless other blogger throngs) Surprisingly, tinged by the passing of Peter Jennings. I hardly ever watched the news, but I remember being awed and left emotional by his 9/11 coverage marathon.....

My past half-decade is probably very much like yours. I discovered a real career for myself. I see change as a positive no matter what. Everything is a learning experience that only contributes to your growth. I've loved, I've cried, I've danced, I've laughed, I've done it all. I can safely say that I can honestly look back on my life and die today without any regrets. :) Whoa....that's a bit too deep for Bruingirl.... :)
How did I do that? Serious comment? Crap......I better get back on that other street.....
