USPS
I received some mail today which reminds me of my ongoing adventures and fun with the postal service.
College: Favorites included forwarding mail to people who moved out of the house....including catalogues to Washington and junk mail International. I never found out if the junk mail got forwarded, but the catalogues made it fine to Washington State.
Just after college: I found one of those little vinegar/baking soda joke packets which pop when you activate them. Someone had left this in one of my college rooms; I mailed it back to him. I heard the mail arrived an "odd" color and crusty. The packet didn't survive the mail.....whooops.
Moving around town and receiving other peoples mail I learned how to write "Return to sender" on mail. The latest hijinks include "Return to Sender" on mail addressed to "Smart Shopper" and "Responsible Driver." Once I accidentally missed the "or current resident" on the mail and tried to return it......that mail came back with the "Current Resident" circled.
Today's episode. I mailed some mood rings that a friend had left in Portland to them.....supposedly the rings survived the mail, but the envelope/packaging did not. Laughing at the comments I got back on my mailing habits.......
A historical night; first time in nearly a decade that I won't be seeing a series movie in my repertoire on opening night. Likely go after my folks leave......no rush, there's no group of friends here in Honolulu I can attempt to gather to wait in line for hours with anyhow.....

mail is great. sticking random stuff in the mail is better. getting completely useless and utterly random stuff in the mail is the best.
if you laquer toast you can mail it.
At the swap meet, they sell coconuts that can be mailed....
Really lacquered toast? I'll have to try it....
snail mail is fun.
did you like the gorcery receipt?
Perfect touch. $0.99 for Trident.
Whether you know it or not, there must be some sort of ban on Trident here.....have yet to see it in any store (except maybe the "Ice" version that is sold in medication packaging)....
