Musings from the Mundane

Why not write and pass on this simple mundane life?

Boxes

What did I do this weekend?

Not much.

Almost finished the Christmas shopping.

I did manage to unpack more boxes. I even "found" the papers for my car, a framed water water color of Hoover Dam, and other random stuff in a box cryptically labelled "Room Stuff DON'T STACK."

I spent time sorting through my books.

I went to mass. Still working on finding the local church. Interesting, one church is uber community. The peace be with you greeting went on for 15 minutes. This weekend; smaller community church (like the other), but this one was mostly attended by what looked like Pacific Islanders (assuming Samoan or Tongan....not entirely sure, could be Tahitian or Fijian for all I know......). Definitely a diverse community. Unfortunately, I can be guilted into being reminded of being part of the gentrification in the neighborhood (easy to guilt me.....I'm a Catholic remember.....)

I went and saw the Wallace and Gromit movie. For those who've never seen or heard of Wallace and Gromit, this is a must see beginner. Highly recommended! Very fun. When I came home, I had to have some cheese.

It snowed lightly....and then it "warmed" up overnight and rained. Typical Valley teaser. Did realize though that I need to think of a "snow route" to take into work. Driving down a snow covered hill is easier to think about than do; for those of us yahoos who rarely need to drive in snow/ice on the ground.

You're STILL unpacking? Gee-eee-ee-zuz!!!

I really need to see the Wallace and Grommit movie. I think it would be my kind of humor.

Did you take that picture of the tortoises? nice 1.

Yeah still nomadic in that sense. At my pace, I'll probably be fully unpacked about moving time....
