Snow Day?
Only what snow?
Apparently today's 1/8-inch snowfall and temperatures high enough to melt ice were enough to close school for an entire day (yes that was close.....not two-hour or one-hour delay....).
Portland Public Schools.....home of the world's laziest administration.......

PPS did close schools (at nearly schooltime this time 'round).
I spent 3 hours of a 4 hour commute on I-84.
I did get lunch right when I got to work and I built a snowman.
I went home early...roads are gonna be dangerous tommorrow morning.
(I am in a much less-commutted out mood now)
I'm amused that aboot 3-inches (average) fell in the City and the Mayor and an ODOT official held a news conference urging everyone to stay home.....sometime in the early afternoon.
Also, surprised at how few Portlanders carry chains in their vehicles.
The chain carriers were probably snow boarders/skiers OR Boy Scouts.
A 4 hour commute? Sounds like a nightmare.
