Recycling
There is a cardboard box next to the trashcan at This Is It.
(a local deli & bakery)
The box is for recycled cans and bottles. Hawaii just last month enacted a recycling bill where you get money back for a deposit on cans/bottles. Oregon has been doing this for decades now.
Talking to one of the ladies behind the counter, the box is for her little girl to collect cans and make some money. This reminds me of doing the same thing growing up. It brings you to recycle.
In Oregon, recycling is very big. Almost anything that can be recycled, gets put in a bin next to your garbage can every week at home. Every office I've ever worked in has two cans under the desk; one for trash and one for paper.
I feel guilty everytime I throw paper into the trashcan here. Maybe someday soon, Hawaii too will recycle office paper.....

I don't believe in recycling. I think that we should raze down every single rainforest in the world. The whole "greenhouse effect" that people speak of is complete BS. It's just propaganda. It doesn't really exist, just like the Holocaust didn't exist.
I think I will go use up a whole ream of paper just for the hell of it. I want to use up all of our natural resources!
I did that once (with the paper ream); couldn't sleep for weeks. ;)
Sounds like LA....
