Why not write and pass on this simple mundane life?

Revenge of the Parents

Tonight I went and saw the Star Wars movie.

Great special effects, small storyline, and leaves it WAY open for a sequel.........I enjoyed myself.

My parents flew back to the mainland Sunday. Saturday we went to the Swap Meet. Huge meet (if your gonna get souvenirs in Honolulu.....don't go to the souvenir shops, head to the swap meet). Dad and Mom ended up with more than they figured on taking back with them and if I need some oversized luggage to carry belongings back to Portland in, I know where to get some $30 huge luggage in Aloha print.

It was good to have the parents here this week, even if it did involve sleeping on the couch, walking into work, and if Dad travelling kinda reminds me of John Candy in "Summer Rental"; but as Dad put it "once in a lifetime trip.....they'd probably never get a chance to take a trip like this again." Good to do something for important people.

Even though this may be misapplied; gonna work on being more loose and care free.

My birthday's coming up next week, anyone want to fly out to celebrate what otherwise will likely be one of the loneliest birthdays in memory (and in my mind) come on out..........

Yep, except it looks more like Dark Helmet on me......

Actually I think if I was gonna dress up for Star Wars I'd go as Obi-Wan.....after all "He's just a crazy old man who lives out beyond the Dune Sea".......

Thanks Angela and Stephanie...as I always say (to strange "what the hell" looks) if I wake up with all appendages on my birthday.....that means I'm not too old....that's what happens when you get old, things start falling off.....

Wait...don't you usually come to S.F. for your birthday. The swings will be sad. Bad margaritas are waiting.

Yeah, 28, was definitely one of the craziest birthday nights (for me) on record. A chowder bowl with a bucket of beer to start the night. Shots of I don't recall what. The cute Ukrainian at the Mexican place with the bad margaritas. The crazy bar/dance place with the hair drying machines. The swing competition at 2AM at the park. Going "to sleep" on the couch while the Swing Competition people (including Wolfman Jack) and y'all polished off a bottle of vodka blending it with fruit.....the entire neighbors posting note about rude people keeping them up till 4AM.......hard to top, I guess if the ladies are there, I'll bear the $700 dollar plane ticket and 6 hour flight......or y'all should come on out to try and tear up Waikiki for a night....

My 28th consisted of bars and bikes. I don't think it's a very good combo....you would think I would have learned my lesson after Memorial Day several yrs ago when I fell off my bike, but NOOOoooo...Bruingirl doesn't learn lessons...and she has the scars to prove this....

I have to wait a couple months to hear the bike story?? Oh man....
