Christmas Season in the Tropics
Lately I've been wondering about the Christmas Season.
I recognize that it is Christmas by the decorations at the mall, shopping centers and streets. It doesn't feel like Christmas though.
I think it has to do with the weather/temperature. Coming from the northwest, I'm not an expert at this, but when the weather is cold and the skies are darker; you need something to cheer you up. Christmas; a season of cheer and goodwill.
When the sun is out for like 11 hours a day, the temperature is warm and the winds are blowing (like those early autumn days in Portland) a need for cheering up just doesn't seem to be there. Everybody already is in good spirits and remains in good spirits.
.
Side notes: I braved a return to the Mai Tai bar. I may have to look up an eye doctor here. Woke up this morning with one eye hurting, I flushed it out with lots of water, but now its kinda cloudy, if it doesn't go away, I probably tore something......

Why does that Santa look like my dad... (before he gets drunk at our family holiday parties...) Weird.
Dude; its Shaka Claus (cause he's giving the shaka...or for those who grew up in a T&C Surf type land "Hang Loose dude")....and Tutu....not sure why Mrs. Claus is called Tutu...
