Musings from the Mundane

Why not write and pass on this simple mundane life?

Wandering

Last night was a night that ended with me sloppily purchasing myself some breakfast at 3AM.

Things of "note" that happened along the way:

1. I decided Ahi Limu Poke is a might bit too salty to have with a beer in the other hand. (Alright so many people might not know what I just said here. Ahi is Tuna. Limu is seaweed. Poke is usually a substitute word for Sushi. The Ahi was rubbed with Hawaiian salt, ie flavored sea salt)

2. I met a person who has the fastest car on the island....the same person had two matches in their mouth, was wearing a straw outback hat, has houses in 5 different states/countries, went surfing the day before for the first time since living on the island, almost lost their batman watch while surfing, and has some sort of torn cartilage which makes paddling difficult.

3. I talked to an Aussie who has surfed around the world. Drives a BMW. His Hawaiian girl went to college in Ashland, Oregon. (Sometimes it seems like the entire State of Hawai'i has been to Oregon....at least they have positive thoughts about Oregon).

4. I was given the following advice by a drunken large polynesian married woman. I should be chasing after Japanese women here. Apparently, the Japanese women have money and they are attracted to the Americans because Japanese men "make horrible lovers and treat their women badly." Also, the same source advised that the local girls are attracted to the Aussies. So, it sounds like either I learn Japanese or practice up on an Australian accent.

Today was a lazy day. Did some chores. Drove up to the North Shore to watch some of the surfing competition at Banzai Pipeline, but competition was cancelled for today. Big Waves.

I fly out for Christmas in Portland on the 21st. The forecasted low is 32 deg F {shivers}........
