Monday Wakeups
I awoke to the sound of a police officer knocking on the front door.
Last night my car got hit. Pushed the parked car forward about 10 feet.
With the parking brake on and the car in park, I wonder what sort of damage internally this has done to the vehicle. I wonder how much this is gonna cost to fix.
Car. House. Job.

Awww Dern, I am so sorry that happened to you! The same thing happened to Franz's car when he had it in front of his house. It sounds like this was a lot worse of a hit, though. Was your car at the old place or the new one? I hope that there were some witnesses or they have some other way of catching the idiot who did that. I am sorry that you had to wake up that way.
Also, I need to get an email address for you or something. I wanted to try to get in touch with you to say that we (or at least I) couldn't make it to come and see your new house on Sunday (see my blog). But all I could do was leave a message on the answering machine at Franz's house. I hope you got it in time. I left my cell phone number on there so you can call me and let me know how to reach you, if you wouldn't mind, so I can reschedule.
And that reminds me, do you have enough boxes? I could bring you some more... I have some left from when I moved over here.
Hope your day gets better!
Sherry
Thanks Sherry.
One of the neighbors saw part of it and called the police. The cop took some parts from the scene, hopefully at least they can ID what kind of car it was. Keep your eyes peeled for a purplish (repainted) car, probably Honda/rice burner of some sort, with a f*cked up front end and a missing right side headlamp assembly.
I've got plenty of boxes, don't need anymore.
Strange, by the time I made it back to Franz's house all messages erased from the answering machine. Will, work out a way to get you the information you need. Actually, Franz has my address and phone number in a mass email I sent out to everyone....get it from him.
Sounds like a heck of a party.
Off to deal with car stuff and to start the car....see if the transmission is f'ed up.
